WGHS Athletic Director Jerry Collins said, “We are very fortunate to have Coach Lybarger come home to Webster Groves and take over our program. I am confident that she will immediately connect with our students and be a strong addition to our coaching and teaching staff.”
About her new position, Coach Lybarger said, "I am humbled and honored to not only be a Statesman once again but to have the privilege of being a part of this amazing program. Many of my most cherished memories came from my time as a Webster Groves basketball player and I am excited to help these student-athletes create lasting memories of their own! I am looking forward to continuing and building upon the established success of the Webster Groves Women's Basketball program. "
Former WGHS head boys basketball coach and most recently an assistant to the girls program, Jay Blossom says that this is a “Big time hire for Webster Groves! Annie is one of the all time greats in Statesmen Basketball history. Annie is a terrific coach and more importantly an outstanding teacher and role model for our student athletes. Couldn’t be happier for our returning girls and I’m excited to see Annie continue to build on the program's recent successes. Welcome home Annie!”
