Winingham Selected to Take Over Girls Lacrosse Program

WEBSTER GROVES, MO, June 16, 2022:  Webster Groves High School is pleased to announce that Jeremy Winingham will be their new girls lacrosse head coach for the 2022-23 school year.

Coach Winingham just completed his first year as an art teacher and assistant lacrosse coach at WGHS.  Prior to coming to Webster Groves, he was at Francis Howell Central where he coached football in addition to girls lacrosse.  He started with the Spartans in the second year of their lacrosse program’s existence and was in charge of their offense for all 5 years that he was there.

WGHS Athletic Director Jerry Collins said, “We are excited to have Coach Winingham take over our lacrosse program.  He has experience coaching in a competitive program and was able to earn the respect of our team during his first season.  With the large number of girls that we have in our lacrosse program, we believe that he will be able to raise their level of play immediately.”

Coach Winingham said, "I am very humbled and excited by this opportunity.  In the past, I was fortunate enough to be part of creating a lacrosse program that was both fun & highly competitive--a team that felt more like a family.  With a solid coaching staff, I have no doubt we can do the same here at WGHS.”
