Conner White is the New Head Football Coach for Statesmen

WEBSTER GROVES, MO, April 15, 2022:  Webster Groves High School is pleased to announce that Conner White has been selected to be the head football coach of the Statesmen.  Coach White is a teacher at WGHS and was the team’s defensive coordinator this past season.

Coach White arrived at WGHS in 2021 with both collegiate and high school coaching experience while at Central Methodist University and Helias Catholic High School for three years each.  While at Helias, he was the Special Teams Coordinator and head Strength Coach during their 2020 undefeated State Championship season.  He also recently received his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  As a player, Coach White was a three time all-conference linebacker at Central Methodist University

"I'm gracious and excited to be the next Head Football Coach for Webster Groves High School,” said White.  “Football has always been a huge component of my life, and has taught me many life lessons I could not learn anywhere else. I want to give back to this wonderful game, and pass those lessons on to our players to help them lead successful personal and professional lives. The rich history and high standards of this community are what has made Webster my new home. I am excited to build this program with our coaches, players, and community to a highly competitive and successful culture."

WGHS Athletic Director Jerry Collins said, “We are excited to have Coach White to lead our football program.  He has a passion for football and has earned the respect of our players and his fellow coaches in the short time that he has been with us.  He will provide stability and direction to get Statesmen Football back on the path to success.”
